The Alamein ward covers several communities in the North of Andover - the villages of Enham Alamein, Smannell & Little London and the town communities of Roman Way, Cricketers Way and King Arthur's Way. It now also includes the new development of East Anton.
Phil North and Janet Whiteley were both elected in May 2007.
Phil NORTH is a local lad and has lived in Andover all his life, he is young, energetic and actively involved in the community. Since graduating from university he has campaigned for local people, to improve the environment in which they and their families live.
Janet WHITELEY is passionate about the real social needs of local people. Janet has been a Parish Councillor for 5 years and an Executive Member of Hampshire Association of Parish/Town Councils. Janet worked in Andover from 1984 until her retirement. In her spare time, Janet is an Interpreter for the Deaf, a charity fundraiser for Countess of Brecknock Hospice, Enham and various Mayor's Charities. Janet served as Mayoress when her husband Neville was Mayor from 2004-5.
